Transcription: There are many alternatives to fossil fuels. For hundreds of years people made good use of wind and water by building windmills and watermills. The modern-day equivalents, wind farms and hydroelectric dams are much more efficient. There is a limitless supply of light and heat energy from the sun and this can be captured to make electricity. Even the power of the waves can be used to produce electricity in remote locations. More recently, scientists have been developing ways of capturing the energy locked up in plant cells.
